Which Cake Stand for Which Occasion
Most cake stands are shape-neutral — a plain round disc that works everywhere and means nothing anywhere.
We went the other way. Each Nikki stand is built around a specific kind of moment, so the shape is doing some of the storytelling before anyone even reads the icing.
Here's how to choose.
Heart Cake Stand for the romantic ones
Rs. 250
The obvious pick for anniversaries, but it stretches further than that. Engagements, Valentine's Day, first birthdays where the theme is soft and sweet, baby showers, or a quiet celebration at home for two people who don't need a reason.
The cut-out heart in the base reads clearly from across a room, and it photographs well because the negative space keeps it from looking heavy.
Best for: anniversaries · engagements · Valentine's Day · couple celebrations
Ring Cake Stand for the big yes
Rs. 250
A diamond ring silhouette in gold. This one has a single job and does it beautifully: proposals, engagement parties, roka ceremonies, and wedding-adjacent celebrations where the ring is the whole point.
It also works surprisingly well for milestone anniversaries — the 25th, the 50th — where you want to nod back to the beginning.
Best for: proposals · engagements · roka · milestone anniversaries
Bow Cake Stand for the soft, styled setups
Rs. 250
The most versatile of the four. Bows have quietly taken over celebration styling — baby showers, coquette-themed birthdays, bridal showers, christenings, and any table built around pastels and ribbon.
If you're a decorator building a themed setup rather than marking a specific event, this is usually the one that fits.
Best for: baby showers · bridal showers · themed birthdays · styled dessert tables
Birthday Cake Stand for the loud, happy ones
Rs. 300
Bold bubble lettering in full colour. No ambiguity, no subtlety — which is exactly right for a kid's party where the table should feel fun before anyone sits down.
Also a strong choice for bakeries doing birthday orders, because the stand does the theming for you and the cake can stay simple.
Best for: children's birthdays · surprise parties · office celebrations · bakery displays
A note on sizing
All our stands are built to the same footprint — 23 cm tall, 24 cm across — which suits most standard half-kilo and one-kilo cakes comfortably.
If you're running a dessert table, that consistency is useful: mix two or three shapes at the same height and the table reads as one deliberate setup rather than a collection of odds and ends.
Still deciding? The Heart and Bow are our most flexible across occasions. The Ring and Birthday are more specific, but they land harder when the moment matches.
